Description

Orfeo Spirit Glass

The handcrafted crystal liqueur goblets of the Orfeo collection, perfect for lovers of spirits, are characterized by a studied and unpredictable design, inspired by the ancient forms of Greek ceramics.

Orfeo collection

The shape of the Orfeo goblets, which evokes that of the cups used by the ancient Greeks to drink wine, is a reference to the ancient civilizations of the Mediterranean.
The evocative name Orfeo refers to a mythological hero who lives between Apollonian and Dionysian, between rationality and passion.
It is no coincidence that the collection was born in the splendid Filicudi, jewel island of the Aeolian Islands whose history is closely linked to many great names in art and culture.

Ettore Sottsass Designer

Ettore Sottsass was born in Innsbruck in 1907 and established himself in the second half of the 20th century as one of the most unpredictable and influential designers in the world.
In the early 1980s, together with the “Memphis” group, Ettore Sottsass revolutionised design by adopting more aesthetic, decorative and communication-oriented canons.
Ettore Sottsass has had numerous solo exhibitions all over the world and many of his works are now housed in prestigious museums such as the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris, the Victoria & Albert Museum in London and the MoMA in New York.
