Another novelty awaits visitors to the Arnolfo di Cambio booth: a digital platform capable of integrating artificial intelligence, 3D prototyping, and immersive experiences, dedicated to the world of crystal and developed as part of the regional SPARCLI project (PR FESR Tuscany 2021-2027 – Call RS2 2023 – ACTION 1.6.2;
project carried out in partnership with: Arnolfo di Cambio as project leader, the University of Florence – Department of Architecture (DIDA) and Department of Information Engineering (DINFO), WODKA, FLOUD, GUAZZINI, IMMERXIVE, and the Experimental Center for Furniture and Interior Design).
The centerpiece of the exhibition will be “From the Glass’s Perspective,” an immersive digital storytelling experience designed to guide visitors through the crystal production process from a fresh and surprising angle: that of the object itself. Thanks to 360° videos and a narrative structure built according to the principles of immersive storytelling design, visitors will be able to experience firsthand all the stages of glass production: from entering the furnace during the crystal-blowing process, through the cooling and grinding stages, to the final stamping and packaging of the product, culminating in its symbolic arrival at the Arnolfo di Cambio booth at the Salone.
A sensory journey that offers an up-close look at the technical complexity, artisanal value, and manufacturing expertise that define the Colle Val d’Elsa crystal district, bringing to life the convergence of manufacturing tradition and digital innovation.
To fully immerse visitors in the virtual reality experience, the booth will feature an armchair from the Torii collection by Minotti, an Italian company internationally recognized as a leader in contemporary design and an interpreter of a refined “modern classic” lifestyle. The long-standing collaboration between Minotti and Arnolfo di Cambio continues, in fact,
in the Minotti exhibition space at the Salone del Mobile, which features several iconic products from the Tuscan brand as furnishing accessories.
The innovations at the Salone don’t end there; alongside the immersive experience, an innovative AI-generated design and rapid 3D prototyping system-tailored for the B2B sector-will also be presented.
This system will allow visitors to observe the creative journey of a crystal object: from the generation of a concept using an AI-powered customizer,
through the development of a three-dimensional model, to the creation of a prototype using advanced 3D printing technologies
